A Perfect Chance

I’m finally off. I feel like I’ve been working for eons even though it’s only been 7 days. Yesterday I took advantage of 75 degree weather and went surfing at Shark Harbor with 8 other friends. In addition to getting a few decent images, I also greatly enhanced my understanding of the sport… so now I’m addicted to surfing as well as windsurfing…
While the waves were not double overhead or anything, we had a blast out there. This is Mark, one of our newer employees, who also had a day of discovery on the perfectly-sized waves. I am very pleased with this image - more so than I’ve been with anything in a while.
Song of the Day : Ms. John Soda - Hands
A side product of one of the brains behind The Notwist, this song is perfect for watching the sun set over the ocean after hours of surfing.
i love everything about this photo except your creepy arm hair.
Sasquatch lives! Oh wait, that’s Tully’s arm.
Very cool shot. Really like this.
This is one of my favorite shots in a long time. The focus is amazing, and the exposure is perfect. Super!

Great ring shot… Loved it…
Nice effects…
What an amazing response - thank you to everyone (except Victor, MegO, and Jamie… you all will wake up soon with my shaved arm hair on your pillows…). This image is two photos shot in rapid succession, one with the focus on Mark surfing and one with the focus on my hand. It was very easy to put them together for this - took just a simple mask job to do it. Oh, and you are looking through the UV filter that usually sits on the front of the lens. Thank you all for visiting!
Wonderful photoblog. I love your photos!
