This is one of our friendly neighborhood leopard sharks, cruising the shallows under our pier. They are in particular abundance in our bay right now, with as many as 100 cruising the shallows at any given time. These sharks are extremely docile, and typically very skittish around divers, but they took quite an interest when I brought some fish into the water with me. Very moving. The fish is so beautiful with the graceful color and the unique patterns all over. Nice shot.
I think there needs to be more updating of this site…
i still feel skittish when fishes bigger than a foot swim around me.. :D that’s one cool capture though.. :)
