This one goes out to you, Jamie Wine. Pretty pleased with this image. This is the office lawn on Pocono Lake about 15 minutes before some thunderstorms erupted. Believe it or not, this is not an HDR photo - the lighting was just perfect for a series of shots similar to this one. As always, I would love to hear what you think.
Song of the Day: Elliott Smith - All Cleaned Out
A lesser-known oldie but goodie from one of my favorite artists of all time.
This shot just makes me want to chill out with a glass of something nice, and listen to the silence :) Great shot, and it doesn’t come across as an HDR, just well lit like you said.
I would like to sit there for a while! Nice shot!
Great contrast, bet this would look stunning in B&W too.
Amazing texture of the wood and nice tones of the grass. The sky is very dramatic. I like it.
Tully, amazing, as usual! Besides, you can’t beat the quote. Rock on buddy, see you in a few.
Simple, but yet, not so simple, dramatic lighting, fabulous atmosphere!
Thank you very much to everyone for the comments. Dezza - I shot this with an 18mm focal length. Will - Yes, you’re right - the b&w version is nice as well, and I’ll probably post a similar picture, but in b&w sometime in the near future. Thank you for visiting!
i don’t know if there would any other place i’d rather be than sitting on that chair right now. great photo!
was this shot using a wide angle lens? what was the focal length?
