A Summer Dreamscape
Tully Rohrer
June 17th, 2007
This was another photo from this shoot. This is the sunfish my sister and I have been racing with, and, not to brag about my favorite sibling’s sailing ability, but no one can capsize a sunfish like Lynley Rohrer. She would have won the race, too, had I not had two lucky gusts to get me around buoys. Again, like the aforelinked image of the chair, this is not HDR - the lighting was just fantastic that afternoon.
Song of the Day: Alela Diane - The Rifle
Alela Diane is an enchanting artist. She typically incorporates finger-picked guitar and her haunting voice multi-tracked to create beautiful folk songs that are expansive in terms of space while still sounding “full”. Highly recommended.
Truly awesome lighting buddy.
Awesome!
It took a lot of skill and calculation on my part to let you win that race, including but not limited to, getting the boom parallel to the mast…and still sailing. Great picture, it really captures the stormy seas/lake/”ocean” and the majesty of the PLP Sailing property. Beautifully done.
Great lighting. Perfect game of tones and contrasts.
Cool shot. Both this and the last one of the series, you can feel summer in the images. Still jealous i never made it out to PLP buddy, simply georgous. Ill be getting a 420 in a few weeks so if you make it to SoNo we can race, later bud.
Very dramatic. I like it. Very interesting to hear about this hobby of yours.
