Fate as Malleable as Clay

The fly fishing was great yesterday. It was also unfortunately the Pocono 500 Nascar race, which brings helicopters and fighter jet fly-bys all day long. Not the most peaceful day out on the Tobyhanna I’ve ever had.
Song of the Day: The Decemberists - Bridges and Balloons (Joanna Newsom cover)
Joanna Newsom is a genius. Unfortunately, 99% of the population of this country will never give her enough of a chance to realize it. For those of you that won’t, at least give The Decemberists covering Newsom a chance. Colin Meloy does a pretty damn good job with this song… but it would be hard to ruin a song this perfect. Beautiful melody and incredible lyrics… take the time to look them up, decipher them, and be floored by Newsom’s poetic nature: “We sailed away on a winter’s day with fate as malleable as clay…”

She’s also pretty adorable.
Nice landscape. Amazing tonal scale.
Cool shot. I love how dark the darks are. Diggin’ the songs too.
