Figure on a Grassy Knoll

I’ve been neglecting Optic Distraction, and it’s filling me with self-loathing. Which is unfortunate because it’s really a self-sustaining thing - when I’m not posting, I’m mad at myself for neglecting something I enjoy, and when I’m mad at myself, I feel too busy or restless to post.
So I’m making an attempt to get back into the routine and keep it going for a while. How it ends up working remains to be seen.
This is near the top of Red Mountain. I liked this image because it’s composed differently than I normally do things, and I think it looks somewhat like a painting, and somewhat mysterious as well.
Song of the Day: The Notwist - Good Lies
Holy mackerel. 6 freaking years. SIX YEARS. I feel like Jeremy Piven from ”Grosse Pointe Blank” when he’s punching the steering wheel. It’s been SIX long years since The Notwist put out their Neon Golden LP - an album that ranks up there with Radiohead’s Kid A as my favorite electronica album of all time. I haven’t been listening to new music lately, but this bombshell will get me looking around again. ”Good Lies” is the first track released from the upcoming The Devil, You + Me LP. And I couldn’t be happier knowing this band is not dead and gone.
Tulls… killer.
