The Years Go Fast,
The Days Go Slow

Justin and I had a conversation a long time ago about the ability of an image to create some sort of story for the viewer. This is an image that invokes a strong emotional response for me, even if it is despondency. And since Justin is posting tomorrow’s image (September 16th), I’d like to take this opportunity to wish my mom a Happy Birthday (one day early). Thanks for visiting, all.
I like that the calendar is completely empty and the person (is that you?) is out of focus. It suggests his life may feel the same way. Currently, I identify. Thanks for this one Tulls! Oh, and Happy Birthday Mrs. Rohrer!
I agree. This image does a wonderful job at telling a story and yet it is open-ended and so the viewer has room to interpret it how they want. I can think of 5 or more different ’meanings’ for this shot. I love images that make you think, like this one!
Well done! It almost looks like two images brought together.
A history in a shot. Perfect DOF job. Great tones. Congratulations !
Very nice composition
