The Town Halo

Justin is on vacation, which has led him both to skipping the fantasy football draft AND not posting an image. What a lousy, lousy friend. Just kidding, Justin. You’re super.
This is a shot of the new Guthrie and the Mill District in downtown Minneapolis. The light rays that you see from the clouds are completely natural, I might add. I’m extremely pleased with how this turned out with one exception- the composition doesn’t feel all that balanced because the buildings on the right side of the image are leaning to the left. But rotating it made it worse, and I didn’t want to crop it because the clouds in the distance on the left are so interesting. So, that’s that.
love the desaturated colors and the composition is terrific!
No need to crop or rotate this picture in any way. The desaturated look is matching the scene perfectly (though you should do a sensor-cleanup soon ;)). The cars are giving me a nice impression about the size of the ruins. Seems that it could be interesting to get a bit closer.
