The Nun's Fountain

I am so far into my archives these days that I’m resorting to pictures from last summer. This is a fountain near the Walker Museum in Minneapolis - I am pleased with the “aged” feeling. I also like the nun-like person in the background.

The National release their new album Boxer in a couple months. I anticipated this album to be one of the best releases of the year, and now that I’ve heard the first song, I’m sticking to my guns. Fake Empire is weird - it is haltingly arrhythmic with parts that feel misaligned… until you listen to it twice. Then the complex rhythms don’t seem weird or distracting, but rather an essential part of a beautiful song. Highly recommended.

Bonus: All The Wine (from 2005’s Alligator)

Water features can certainly be works of art in themselves. This one has made a great subject for your photograph. You have chosen a good point of view and composed it nicely; I like division into two. It’s almost a black and white photo but with some splashes of color. The veil like effect of the water has made the ’nun’ and the background somewhat mysterious. A very nice image Tully!
