The Day the Sun Disappeared

I just had an extremely rejuvenating break from work. I was able to take advantage of Catalina’s recreational opportunities, surfing all afternoon on Monday and windsurfing all afternoon on Tuesday. This capture is from Little Harbor, which neighbors Shark Harbor (the most accessible surf spot on the island). I surfed for about three hours at Shark and was then treated to this sunset. I took about two hundred photos that afternoon and evening, so expect, oh, one more from this session (maybe two if I’m lucky).
Such a great photograph. The rays of light and the whole atmosphere of this image is very impressive.
Beautiful image. Sure hope though the skipper is watching out for those rocks infront.
How awe inspiring! It is so beautiful.
P/S HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I know I am a day early, but the important thing is that I remembered.
This is one of my favorites. It’s absolutely gorgeous.
Wow, dynamite!
