Storm over the Empire State Building

This was shot out the window of my apartment as an evening storm settled in over the city. I processed and reprocessed this image probably five times. I wasn’t happy with it until I decided to try to mimic Imran’s fantastic style. I’m not up to Imran’s level yet, but like the way it came out. This image also made it clear how much dust is on my sensor. Hopefully I did a good enough job with the clone stamp so that you won’t be able to notice.

sweet shot, man. looks like something out of my nightmares about the apocalypse. very industrial feel with a real sense of doom. powerful.
