One Step at a Time

This is my favorite shot from Friday’s shoot. It’s not perfect, but it was a situation in which I saw the tiles and thought of exactly how I wanted the photo to look, and that vision was almost realized. I think I’d like to go back and shoot it again with a woman in a dress coming down the stairs… we’ll see if I ever get around to it. I would guess that I won’t.

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah’s new album came out last week, and I’m not sure what to make of it yet. I haven’t had enough time to listen to it, but it also hasn’t jumped out at me the way that their eponymous debut did. Emily Jean Stock is my favorite thus far, which isn’t too surprising since it is the song that most closely resembles the stellar tracks on 2005’s release. I suppose time will tell.

Bonus: Menomena - Air Aid
I’m telling you, this album is amazing in its variation from song to song - the only thing that is consistent is its exceptionally high quality. Assorted horns, pounding percussion, keys, and computerized blips accompany a beautiful melody and distressed, relevant-to-the-current-world-situation lyrics.

ooooo pretty

Great ”broken abstract”!

Very great. I love the tile pattern and how it is slightly interrupted by the feet.
