Leaves Do Fall

In honor of daylight savings time, one final winter photo. This is an oak leaf that was melted into the ice and refrozen, so the shaded areas are actually shadows cast by the ice onto the leaf (so the sun was actually off to the left of the photo). The leaf was probably about 3/4 of an inch below the top of the ice. Simple photo, weird perspective.

Wow. that’s incredible. Has a real 3D feel to it. As someone who comes from a country with mild winters, seeing ice is always a treat!
