Something About the Angle

This is another shot from the Haypress Reservoir, which is now just a shriveled mud flat. I need to go back up there - these last two shots are kind of the obvious shots, and I’d love to shoot some portraits up there. Look for those at some point during the summer or, perhaps, in the fall. My season on Catalina has just ended, and I will be bouncing all over the world this summer… so look for some more variety from my images in the near future!
Song of the Day: Liz Janes - Guitar Guitar
This is such an amazingly beautiful song… I surprised I haven’t yet posted it. She’s a buddy of Sufjan Stevens, and her breathy vocals perfectly accompany some beautiful banjo and percussion.
May’s Optic Distraction Mixtape:
01. A.C. Newman - On the Table
02. Handsome Furs - Sing! Captain
03. Blitzen Trapper - Wild Mountain Nation
04. Stars - Elevator Love Letter
05. Sufjan Stevens - We Won’t Need Legs to Stand
06. Sufjan Stevens - Seven Swans
07. The Snake The Cross The Crown - Gypsy Melodies
08. Danielson - Cast It At the Setting Sail
09. The New Pornographers - My Rights Versus Yours
This one is perfect, marvelous image.
