Sea Butterfly

No, seriously, that’s what it’s called. Right now, there is nothing in the open ocean but gelatinous zooplankton. These sea butterflies are everywhere, which is awesome because they actually swim around, unlike most zooplankton we see.
I shot this just under the surface about 4 miles off Catalina.
this is absolutely beautiful. great composition and background as well.
The blue background is really nice.
