Realization

Usually when I go on a photo safari, I’ll go outside, walk in all directions, take a bunch of pictures of tons of random things, and then come home and see if a couple of them came out decently. There have been only a handful of times over the last year that I’ve been in the opposite situation. Where I’ve either been in my apartment, or walking around New York, come upon a scene in which I see an opportunity, snap a shot or two, head home and end up satisfied with the image. A few in this category that come to mind are Tree Shadows on the Met, Bamboo in my Living Room, Hazy New York, and now, today’s image of someone talking on their phone outside Lincoln Center. It’s a good feeling when your visions are realized.
So rad. One of my recent favorites. It’s so simple, geometrical, and then your eye gets drawn to the one anomaly which is the person. And then you wonder, what the crap is that person doing there? Perfect, shot, Justin.
This is really nice. I love the composition.Conrats on your vision.
nice shot with good lighting and pattern.
love it!!
justin, this is amazing. i love the expanse and monotony of the structure that highlights the solitude of the person. one of those pictures that evokes that ”i know that exactly feeling” response. the lines and patterns of the world keep moving and you feel stuck on the outside watching it go. lovely compilation of photographs by you two!
Just an outstanding image, full of tension and narrative….
nice geometry shot…
