Even the best need to do it sometimes…
This is Béla Fleck performing at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival on Friday. He was playing with Abigail Washburn, and while I’m not a huge bluegrass fan, it was pretty amazing to watch him play. He certainly turns the banjo into a much more versatile instrument than most other bluegrass artists do.
I’m traveling back to Catalina today, so I’ll return to regular song of the day posting on Wednesday.

love the contrast in this photo. the black background and the white banjo. the white bajno and the black microphone head. the black shirt with the white spots. even the black bead on his braclet accentuated by his white arm. very nice.
What a great portrait! You say you struggle with capturing people on camera, but you did a wonderful job here. He has such a great expression on his face too. Well done!
