Celebrate the Ghosts Gone By

Every New Year’s Eve in Telluride brings the town-funded fireworks display over the ski area. I’m not convinced it’s actually the best way to spend your New Year’s Eve - that is, freezing your ass off watching 15 minutes of fireworks, but it made for a decent photograph, which is more than I can say for my last two photo excursions in which I actually took the camera out once. One time. Yes, one time. For a photo that was ultimately worthless.
Phew! Enough unbridled optimism already! The important thing, of course, about today is the Patriots game. Boo photography, Go Pats!!!
Song of the Day: The Good, The Bad, and The Queen - Herculean
Damon Albarn’s new band is a “superband”, they say, bringing together Paul Simonon of the Clash, Simon Tong of The Verve, rhythm master Tony Allen and Dangermouse as producer. Somehow it still sounds like Blur or Gorillaz. Not that’s necessarily a bad thing. Then again, I’ve been a Blur fan since freshman year of high school, so… Damon, you’re doing fine by me.
good song. the photo is ok too
very nice picture
Tully this is a ridiculous photograph. I love the brightness and clarity of the fireworks next to the snow and the blurriness of some of the onlookers. Really nice shot. Go Pats!
