Optic Distraction was launched in early 2005 as a method to display the photography of Justin Gallagher and Tully Rohrer. In December of 2005, the photoblog feature was launched in an effort to provide more regular updates to the site. Our aim is to update the site daily with interesting images encompassing a large variety of genres. We are proud to have complete creative control over both the images and site design of Optic Distraction. While both are Tri-State natives, Justin is currently based out of New York City and Tully out of Catalina Island, California. The contrast of locales will hopefully offer a diversity of images that should help to keep oD fresh and interesting.
Equipment: Both Tully and Justin shoot primarily with a Canon Digital Rebel 300D SLR with a number of different lenses. Our images may be straight from the camera or post-processed in order to achieve our artistic goals. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please contact either Justin or Tully. We would be glad to discuss any element of the site, making a print, or any details of an image. We hope you enjoy the site and return often!
